Right, Left Evenly Matched if Arabs Join Coalition

With 99 percent of the votes counted, it seems that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu may have a hard time creating the next coalition. Despite Netanyahu’s significant lead over rival parties, the right-wing and left-wing blocs now seem poised to be evenly matched with 60 seats each. However, that balance is reached if the left bloc includes the Arab parties, who have never been part of an Israeli coalition government.

The final breakdown has not yet been calculated, and at least one party will lose a seat from its current total in order to end up with 120 seats all in all.
