Green Party Calls for Computerized Voting

The Green Party called on the Central Election Committee to stop using wasteful paper ballots and instead modernize the voting system by using computerized ballots.

"Using millions of paper ballots is terribly wasteful and creates waste that cannot be recycled that litters the streets outside the polls," the party said in a statement.

The party added that computerized voting would not limit people to voting in their assigned polling station and would encourage more people to vote by making it easier for people who have to travel far to cast their ballot at their designated station.
