Four buses carrying about 80 Russian citizens, mostly women and children, escaped Syria Tuesday and crossed into Lebanon. 

The evacuations marks the first time Moscow has organized such a move since the bloody conflict began nearly two years ago, hinting at the possibility that Russia, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's biggest supporter, does not believe the leader can cling to power much longer and that a peaceful transition of power is not likely in the immediate future.
