The Chief Rabbi of Tzfat, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu told Arutz Sheva news that one should vote with joy and not bitterness despite the tense political landscape. His father, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyhau, was the former Chief Rabbi of Israel.
"My father, may he rest in peace, used to pray every day that G-d would put in the hearts of all of Israel the wisdom and courage to make the right decisions to bring redemption to the world. Such a prayer is said with joy, not out of sadness or irritability. One should take a positive approach," Rabbi Eliyahu stated.
