Could Voting Hit Record High? Tally Already at 26.7%

As of 12:30PM, approximately 26.7% of Israelis have already voted in the elections. The number is considered very high compared to previous elections. There are over 5 million eligible voters in Israel, a record high compared to previous population statistics. All citizen over the age of 18 have right to vote. Polls close at 10:00 PM.

The highest every voter turnout for Knesset elections was the State of Israel's first election in 1949 at 86.9%. The lowest voter turnout was in 2006 at 63.5%.
