Israeli Arabs traditionally abstain from participating in the elections, confident that one representative more or less will not make such a significant difference. Director of the Center for Middle East Research Prof Alex Bly additionally told INN, “The Arabs feel more and more estranged to the State of Israel, and PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ attempts to motivate them to vote will turn out useless.”
