The Tel Aviv District Court today sentenced a German citizen to life in prison Sunday, for the murder of a 62-year-old florist from Ramat Gan, which occurred a little over a year ago. The German came to Israel as a tourist, but began working at several odd jobs, which is how he got to know the victim. When the man became desperate for money, he strangled and stabbed the female florist to death. In addition, the court ruled that the killer must compensate the family of the deceased in the amount of NIS 1,232,222.
