Witnesses on Sunday reported that three US drone strikes in Yemen killed eight people, including at least four suspected members of Al Qaeda.

The strikes took place in the Yemen province of Marib, and targeted three separate vehicles, each carrying four people, with only two of the strikes resulting in direct hits. ket missed the car allowing the passengers enough time to flee, a witness said.

The raids bring the number of people killed in US drone strikes since attacks were intensified late December to at least 22.
