Right-wing politicians claimed recently that Netanyahu's election strategy of going after Jewish Home will make it difficult for him to form a coalition in the 19th Knesset.
A senior politician said that, "prior to the assault initiated on (Naftali) Bennett on the issue of refusing orders, the right was on the verge of 70 seats in almost all of the surveys, and since then the block has only weakened in most polls."
The source added that the most painful part of the entire story is that desired results of the attacks against Jewish Home - more votes for Likud-Beytenu - were not seen. Instead of boosting support for his own party, Netanyahu's attacks only served to divert support from the right, hurting Likud-Beytenu and Jewish Home as well, and lending more power to the left.
