Peace Now General Director Yariv Oppenheimer commented on the death of Ariel Mayor Ron Nachman, who passed away Friday at age 70. 

"Ron Nachman, the mayor of Ariel, who passed away, was, via his ideological perceptions, a worthy and valuable advocate for the State of Israel. I never agreed with him and his ways - there was and remains a chasm in our ideologies. But I always knew to respect his intentions, his honesty and the way he knew to stand up to his political opponents. May his memory be blessed," Oppenheimer said.
