President Shimon Peres sent a letter of condolence Saturday night to the family og Ariel mayor Ron Nachman, who passed away Friday after a long and hard battle with cancer. 

"Ron Nachman was a man who loved his people, a kind man, and honest," Peres wrote to the family of Nachman. "There was a deep friendship between us. I appreciated Ron and I admired him for his courage and strength in the face of his hard fought with cancer," wrote Peres.
