It's Final: Pro-Marijuana Party Ad Disqualified

The Ale Yarok (Green Leaf) party, which is running together with the Liberal Party will have their election commercial disqualified by the Central Election Committee. The committee debated the disqualification on Tuesday and upheld that decision on Wednesday.
Ale Yarok believes in the free up of State land for more housing and alleviate bureaucracy in the government. Most notably, they believe in the legalization of marijuana which they believe has medicinal benefits. They also warn of the widespread suspicion that Hezbollah sells the drug to fund terrorism. 
In the 2013 election they have decided to run together with the Liberal Party, who hold libertarian beliefs. The group wants to legalize prostitution and gambling which they saw is used by organize crime groups. In relation to the Disengagement and the two state solution, according to their website they state, "Ale Yarok-The Liberal List will act to bring any peace agreement to referendum, believing that crucial and faithful decisions must be settled by direct democracy. We will support actions to protect the citizens of Israel, as we recognize protection against foreign aggression is the most basic function of the state."
