The Elections Committee has censored parts of television ads run by the Calcala party and Shas.
The Calcala party ad was altered to make a scene in which a woman licks a snow cone less overtly sexual. The party previously faced complaints over an ad in which a young woman removed her clothing to accuse the state of “stripping” its citizens.
A clip used in the Shas campaign will be blurred due to the fact that a girl pictured in the image is under the age of 15, making the use of her image a violation of campaign laws.
