Cabinet Secretary: Gov't Committed to Heritage Sites

Cabinet Secretary Tzvi Hauser said, Monday, that the government is committed to ensure the existence of national heritage sites in the public domain. Addressing a news conference at the Prime Minister's Office, he explained, "The need is vital because Israeli society is undergoing challenges that no democratic society has withstood. We are obligated to know where we came from and where we're going."

Hauser continued, "We are morally committed to passing the baton, to pass it from grandfather to grandson, to give the next generation the same cultural baggage and historical past and to promise to our children a better future."
