The Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) rose by 13 centimeters over the Sabbath as rivers swollen by rainwater drained into the lake. The surface of the lake is expected to continue to rise despite rain having stopped Friday.

The lake, Israel’s largest single source of freshwater, now stands at 211.07 meters below sea level.
