Senior Shas member, Aryeh Deri, in an interview with Channel 2, remarked on the condition of Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, who was hospitalized Saturday after suffering from a light stroke.
"The Rabbi will stay in the hospital for observations and tests which are being done to him now….This is our leader and overall he is in good condition. The Doctors say he had a light stroke. We spoke to him a lot and his speech was fluent and clear. He spoke words of Torah and told us stories of Jerusalem from more than 70 years ago," Deri said.
