Edelstein: Religious Zionists Are Proud to be in Likud

Information and Diaspora Minister Yuli Edelstein (Likud) responded on Thursday evening to comments made by the Chairman of the Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home), Naftali Bennett, who slammed the Likud for its campaign ad that depicts the Jewish Home candidates as extremists.

"The religious Zionist public is beginning to internalize that one does not leave one's great home and great party, and naturally this makes the Jewish Home uncomfortable," said Edelstein, adding, "My religious friends and I who are part of the leadership of the Likud-Yisrael Beytenu are proud to be part of religious Zionism and will not allow the political disagreements between us and other parties, whether on refusal of orders or on exclusion and women's rights, to cause a rift among the people of Israel in general and among the religious Zionist community and the Likud-Yisrael Beytenu party in particular."
