The Israel Electric Company reported, Thursday evening, that a new record was set, during the course of the evening, for power consumption. At 7:20 p.m. 11, 257 megawatts were being used, eclipsing the old mark of 11,240 megawatts, set Wednesday.

The previous high of 11,090 was set last year. The all-time high of 11,900 was set last summer.
