The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) disclosed, Thursday evening, that Chief of Staff Benny Gantz signed an order on December 30th, banning most civilian traffic on Highway 10 and a 300-meter-wide corridor along most of the Sinai border with Egypt, from Gaza to the Sayarim Junction, north of Eilat, for a year. Permits will be issued for certain civilian traffic, which will also be allowed under prior coordination with the IDF.
