IMF officials assured Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi on Tuesday that they are committed to supporting his country.

According to Morsi's spokesman, the President told IMF representatives that his government is working on improving the economic situation in Egypt. Cairo is asking the IMF for a loan totaling $5 billion dollars.
