Yair Lapid: I’d Enjoy the Opposition

Yair Lapid of the Yesh Atid party held a live chat session Tuesday evening in which he and sixth-place candidate Ofer Shelach answered questions from the public. Lapid promised his party would not be the only centrist faction in a hareidi-right government, adding that in a case like that, he would enjoy the Opposition more.

When asked what ministries he wants, Lapid said he will first ask about issues such as the cost of living and hareidi-religious IDF recruitment, then worry about ministries.

When asked about rain on elections day – a possibility seen as threatening Lapid’s Knesset power, if bad weather keeps less motivated voters indoors – Lapid joked, “What do we have Rabbi Piron for? He’ll make sure there’s no rain.”
