The Mount Hermon Recreation Area remained closed, Tuesday morning, and is not scheduled to re-open until next week as the windy winter storm brings more snow to the site. Forty-five centimeters/almost 18 inches of the white stuff were reported at the bottom of the cable car.
The Water Authority reported that the level of Lake Kinneret/the Sea of Galilee rose 22 centimeters/8.66 inches in the last 24 hours to 211.50 meters/693.89 feet below sea level, 1.5 meters/4.92 feet above the lower red line, where officials don't want to remove water from Israel's largest freshwater source. The water level is 2.7 meters/8.85 feet below flood level. The daily jump was one of the biggest in years.
