An 85-year-old man died, Tuesday morning, in a fire that broke out in a dwelling at Kibbutz Yakum in the Sharon area, northeast of Tel Aviv. Magen David Adom paramedics were forced to declare his death after prolonged resuscitation efforts.

The fire apparently started in an electric blanket.
