Weather: Storm Retreating before it Brings Snow South

It will continue to be windy and unseasonably cold on Tuesday, with snow over Mount Hermon and showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and a risk of flooding in the north and center. Hazy to partly cloudy skies are forecast for the south until the afternoon, when the rain will return. In the evening, the snow will spread to northern peaks and at night, and at night it will be rainy and stormy in most parts of the country with snow extending to central mountain peaks. With temperatures dropping further on Wednesday, the chance of snow is expected to extend to Jerusalem and the Negev mountain, with rainy and windy conditions continuing in the rest of the country until Thursday afternoon, accompanied by the risk of flooding. With temperatures remaining very cold, it will continue to snow on mountain peaks as far south as Jerusalem on Thursday and the rain will weaken and taper off in the afternoon. Variable cloudiness is forecast for Friday with showers in the north and center until the evening.
