Tel Aviv Bus Bomber to be Held Through Trial

The Tel Aviv District Court ordered, Monday, that Mohammed Mufarja - charged with carrying out the bombing of a bus in Tel Aviv toward the end of the Pillar of Defense counter-terror campaign in Gaza - be held until the end of legal proceedings against him.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad were involved in the bombing, which resulted in the wounding of 26 Israelis. Mufarja was a resident of the Palestinian Authority who became an Israeli citizen by virtue of his father's marriage to an Israeli under the Family Unification Law. His Israeli identity card gave him relatively easy access to Tel Aviv.
