Most of the featured indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange welcomed international traders, Monday morning, with modest to moderate losses. About 50 minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,069.93, down half a percent, while the TA 100 declined .52 percent to 1,074.40, including a .61-percent drop to 1,209.00 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Worst hit were the bank stocks, which fell 1.3 percent to 1,155.98 as the financial institutions stood at 1.083.67, down 1.01 percent, including a .62-percent loss by the insurance index. The real-estate issues declined .71 percent to 317.06, followed by the communications and media stocks, which stood at 522.53, down .48 percent. The oil and natural-gas index slumped .45 percent to 1,176.14, followed by the biomed issues, which stood at 810.89, down .32 percent, while the rest of the technology stocks slipped .12 percent to 329.75.
