100 Jews Stranded in Ukraine

About 100 Jews were stranded in the Ukraine on Sunday, after visiting the gravesite of the first Lubavitcher rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, on the 200th anniversary of his death.

Yehuda, a volunteer paramedic with the Ichud Hatzalah organization who was with the group, told Arutz Sheva that the group members were stranded because their flight was canceled due to the airline, Aerosweet, going bankrupt.

"It is important to note that there are families with children and adults who take medication regularly," he said. "At first we were offered to sleep at a local synagogue, but the groups did not agree and finally it was agreed that the passengers will be transferred to a local hotel."
