Dogs Not Spayed or Neutered? Substantial License Fees

Starting this week, owners of dogs who are not spayed or neutered will pay substantially more for their licenses. While the fee for spayed or neutered dogs will be only NIS 52.50, owners of dogs who have not been spayed or neutered will pay an additional 300 shekels.

The Agriculture Ministry explains that the aim of the increased fee is to encourage spaying and neutering to prevent the birth of many pups who become homeless and must be euthenized when no home is found for them.
