Egyptian Finance, Interior Ministers to Be Replaced

In response to last week's news that the Egyptian pound hit a record low, despite assurances by Egypt's leaders that they would not allow the country to slide further into economic crisis, the state news agency reported on Saturday that the country's finance and interior ministers will be replaced.

"Middle East News Agency has learned that the new ministers will include General Mohamed Ibrahim for the Interior Ministry and ... Al-Mursi Al-Sayed Hegazy for the Finance Ministry," MENA said.

Ten new ministers will be sworn in on Sunday.
