HaTnua Chairwoman Tzipi Livni renewed calls for a united block that would stop PM Binyamin Netanyahu from forming the next coalition.
Speaking Saturday night, Livni said, "We must take action now - people will go out and vote if we do the right thing and unite together. We have to face voters and tell them we're together…We can talk amongst ourselves about the criteria for recommendations whether or not we agree about it, but we can at least agree not to recommend Netanyahu."
"It is up to us to promise that we will not serve as a fig leaf to the extremist government….either we fight an extreme-right and Haredi government, a government which will be shaky, or we force Netanyahu to form another coalition. I call on my friends to put all personal matters aside… everyone thinks he's the most capable but here there is an opportunity to give hope to the public of undecided voters who will vote if we do the right thing."
