Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid rejected the proposal of Tzipi Livni to establish a bloc of centrist-left parties to work together to bring down PM Binyamin Netanyahu.

Lapid wrote on his Facebook page that he will meet with Yachimovich and Livni, but clarified that "I have no interest in joining any 'block', since I do not generally ban people and political parties."

Lapid added "In the meeting I will suggest that even in the case that Netanyahu will establish the next government, we will join it together, so that it will not be a government of Orthodox and extreme right wing which will again take the money of the middle class and give it to the yeshivahs and illegal outposts."
