Shekel, Dollars, Yen Up; Pound, Euro, Rand Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .145 percent in mixed trading, Thursday, against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.735, up .565 percent while the Euro fell .621 percent to 4.897 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.0415, down .203 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell rose .604 percent to 4.2943 shekels. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.9237, up .69 percent, while its Canadian counterpart rose .507 percent to 3.7885 shekels and the South African Rand was set at NIS .4359, down .548 percent.
