Rumors are flying around the tech world that Apple is interested in buying the Israeli startup Waze, a user-generated mapping application, whose advanced technology would help Apple compete with Google Maps. 

Initial reports indicate that Waze receive an offer from Apple for almost half a billion dollars, yet market sources estimate the value of Waze to be at least one billion dollars.
