Minister of Education Gideon Saar toured the University of Ariel on Wednesday, marking the first such visit since Central Command officially recognized the institution as a university.

During the event Saar called on the universities to withdraw their names from a petition to the Supreme Court to annul the University's accreditation, saying, "After Bar-Ilan made ​​the right move and separated itself from the petition to the Supreme Court and after the Supreme Court's recommendation was rejected, I call on the heads of all universities to embrace their little sister Ariel, and to withdraw from the petition to the Supreme Court just as did Bar-Ilan University did."

"The entire government stands behind Ariel University, not just me," Saar added.
