New Jerusalem Buses to Givat Zev as Population Grows

Two new bus lines have been established from Givat Zeev to Jerusalem. Bus 130 and  bus 134 have been opened by the Egged bus company. Other lines will have their names changed. Bus 171 will now be 131. Bus 271 will now be bus 132 and bus 371 will now be bus 133. Givat Zeev is located very close to the outer ring Jerusalem neighborhood of Ramot.
The changes are part of he new over-hall by Egged, the Ministry of Transport, the Municipality of Jerusalem and the Light Rail. Many are still complaining that the new inter-city routes force residents to transfer from a bus to the Light Rail. Several lines have been shortened such as bus 7 or cut altogether such as bus 2 to the Western Wall.
Egged continues to add new lines as the population grows and demand for transportation increases.
