Israel Joins UNICEF Charity's Executive Board

The country of Israel will be on the executive board of the United Nations Children's Fund, better known as UNICEF. The position is considered prestigious and was held by Israel from 1951 to 1959. The organization supplies children around the world with clean water, proper nutrition, education, and relief in disaster areas. Originally called the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, it was founded by a Jewish Holocaust survivor named Ludwik Rajchman in 1946.
