Elazar Stern running on HaTnua's Knesset list, contacted Yesh Atid's Yair Lapid through his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon, urging him to "take back your words."
Stern was referring to previous comments made by Lapid in which he suggested that HaTnua chairwoman Tzipi Livni should leave the Knesset immediately after elections because Lapid claimed he does not believe that Livni would agree to sit in the opposition without a senior role, saying, "Tzipi likes campaigns but she is not built to sit in the opposition with eight seats," adding that she would go home after the elections, indicating that a vote for her party was the equivalent of a throw away vote.
Stern wrote on Lapid's Facebook page that "Derech Eretz precedes the Torah," and that Lapid should take back his words.
Stern then wrote on his own page, "I turned to Yair Lapid on his Facebook wall, and I wrote to him what I thought of his behavior in recent days, he said, different politics, right? For the good of everyone he has to stop here and take his words back. I know Tzipi Livni and I know her leadership and her abilities to bring about a change…"
