The latest incident highlighting sectarian and ethnic divisions which threaten to further destabilize Iraq came Monday as explosions rocked the country, killing at least 10 people and wounding 46, police said.

As tensions between Shi'ite, Kurdish and Sunni factions in the country continue to rise, terrorist strikes have become an almost daily occurrence in the country.

No group has claimed responsibility for any of the attacks, as of yet. The explosions targeted government officials, police patrols and members of both the Sunni and Shi'ite sects.
