MK Michael Ben Ari of Otzma LeYisrael announced that the political party will be holding a rally Monday night in south Tel Aviv to protest the continued presence of African migrants in Israel.
The announcement comes after a 20-year-old Eritrean man was arrested this past weekend for the rape of an elderly woman in south Tel Aviv, near the Central Bus Station.
Ben Ari said, "When there is no police and no authority, only we can prevent the next rape."
Police are allowing the protest but refused Otzma LeYisrael's request to enter Gan Levinsky. Police also announced that reinforcements will be sent to the area to make sure things remain calm.
