Mofaz: Peres Said What the People Want

Kadima Party Chairman Shaul Mofaz attacked the Likud-Beyteinu Knesset list, Sunday, for its attack on President Shim'on Peres's call for negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority on the basis of the two-state solution.

The former chief of staff and defense minister said, "One must condemn the Likud's attack against the president of the state due to electoral considerations. Likud-Beyteinu, throug its policy, is leading Israeli policy toward a third intifada or an imposed [diplomatic] agreement contrary to the Israeli interest. Israel must go back to lead the political process and create its future with its own hands."
