The Canadian government revoked the citizenship of Helmut Oberlander, who is wanted for his involvement in Nazi crimes during World War II.
The 88-year-old Ukrainian is suspected of being involved in murders committed by the Einsatzgruppen. In 1995, he was denied citizenship because of the actions attributed to him, but the appeals court called on the government to re-consider the decision after Oberlander argued that he was forced to comply with Nazi orders.
