Shekel Up; Dollars Mixed, Yen Outpaces Euro, Pound

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .177 percent, Friday, against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.729, up .081 percent, while the Euro declined .494 percent to 4.9184 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 5.9994, down .512 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .161 percent to 4.335 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .106 percent to NIS 3.872, while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at 3.7468 shekels, down .314 percent, and the South African Rand edged up .023 percent to NIS .4384.
