A draft report by the state comptroller on privately-funded trips abroad by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and other ministers was submitted to the involved parties for their reaction, Thursday. The report has been called "Bibitours", following the state's unsuccessful attempt to prosecute former prime minister Ehud Olmert on charges of double-billing in what was called the "Rishontours" case.
Submission of the draft, about a month before the elections, should not affect the results, since the parties have until January 31st to respond. The final report will not be ready for months after that. Channel 2 Television noted that most of the parties received their copies directly while Netanyahu received his via an attorney. The prime minister's Likud party said it was strange for the station to get a copy before Netanyahu, no less than the timing, just before the elections.
