Kadima Responds to Petition to Disqualify Ad Campaign

The Kadima election committee on Tuesday submitted a response to a petition filed by MK Israel Eichler to disqualify their election ad campaign.

The ad states that it is unfair that IDF soldiers receive only NIS 350 a month while yeshiva students receive NIS 3,400 and that the government should "pay soldiers like yeshiva students."

In its response, Kadima wrote, "MK Eichler seeks to disqualify our ad campaign based on two claims - one that constitutes incitement to racism against "the kollel" as defined, and the second is that the presentation of the number ₪ 3,400 which represents the payment they get is "false." These two arguments should be dismissed because they are unsubstantiated both legally and factually."
