Elections Committee to Reconsider Otzma Arabic Campaign

The Central Elections Committee is scheduled to hear an appeal, Tuesday, of its decision not to allow the Arabic-language campaign of the Otzma Leyisrael party, headed by Knesset members Aryeh Eldad and Michael Ben-Ari. Eldad and Ben-Ari claim the slogan "No Obligations, No Rights" is legitimate and not racist. Committee Chairman Eliyakum Rubinstein had ruled that the campaign was racist because it was only made in Arabic.

Justice Rubinstein also ruled that billboard and bus advertising were within his jurisdiction, contrary to the opinion of Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein.
