Reserves Colonel Shlomi Cohen and Reserves Lieutenant Colonel Asaf Rafeld were found guilty of negligence and not negligent homicide, Monday, by a special military court that was convened in the 2007 death of Reserves Sergeant Asaf Waxman, who was crushed by an armored personnel carrier (APC) Waxman was driving during a training exercise in the Golan Heights in November of 2007. The judges acquitted company commander, Major Dudi Kellner of negligent homicide.
A few months ago, Reserves First Sergeant Yiftach Niv, the commander of the APC, was sentenced to two months community service in connection with the accident.
