Chairwoman Tzipi Livni of the Hatenu'ah party attacked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Sunday, during a meeting with representatives of the Moshavim movement. Livni said, "Netanyahu is leading an alliance of refuseniks - those who refuse to serve, those who refuse to carry out orders and those who refuse to engage in diplomatic talks. The combination of Netanyahu, [Habayit Hayehudi Chairman Naftali] Bennett and the hareidim creates this refusenik alliance."
She continued, "There's a fight in Israel for the source of the authority for our lives here. There's a group that thinks that it's a matter of Jewish law and rabbis and not [civil] law and judges. Netanyahu and his natural associates are pulling us to a choice between extremist positions - absolute secularism or hareidi-religious Judaism and not the nationalist [type]. We mustn't accept this situation and we must establish a counter alliance to this alliance of refuseniks."
