Lebanese media reported Sunday that International peace envoy Lakhdar Brahimi is headed to Syria and will meet with President Bashar al-Assad on Monday.
Brahimi arrived in Lebanon on Sunday afternoon from Cairo and will travel to the Syrian capital by car because the Damascus airports almost completely non-operational due to fighting in the area.
