A suicide bomber in Pakistan killed at least eight people on Saturday during a political rally in the north-western city of Peshawar, police say.

The Pakistani Taliban have taken credit for the attack, which occurred near the house of a leader of the Awami National Party, which is part of the national governing coalition. A senior provincial minister was among those killed.
