Knesset Speaker Laments Public's Distrust of Knesset

Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin lamented the public's distrust of their elected officials. He voiced the remarks Wednesday at the Sderot Conference for Society at Sapir College in Sderot. Rivlin cited polls that show a high percentage of the public feels Knesset Members are corrupt. He said he hoped that there would be renewed confidence in the democratic system in Israel and that the younger generation would not feel such a level of distrust and alienation.
